why are moon cycles sacred at the ecofarm?
moon cycles determine the farm’s planting schedule. planting by the full moon taps into the moon’s gravitational pull, which subtly draws more moisture toward the soil’s surface—giving seeds a better chance to swell, sprout, and root. (more moonlight also = more photosynthesis.) waxing moons support upward growth—of leafy greens, herbs, fruit—while waning moons are for rooting and grounding.
what is special about a full moon?
a full moon is the sun’s radiance refracted back at maximum. for a goddess who centers on jungle fire & sun, the full moon is an intensified echo of sunlight returned in lunar form—stretching visibility and ritual possibility. the full moon delightfully lets the goddess visit the creek after dark with zero help from artificial light.
what is a surprising or blessed story about the moon at the farm?
the moon can be terror inducing. the goddess on more than one occasion has shot up terrified in bed with a light shining aggressively in her face—that light being the full moon.
